The Spencer Models Process · /process/
From brief to campaign.
Some campaigns need a real shoot. Some can be produced remotely from approved source material. Others work best when physical and digital production come together.
Spencer Models brings real talent, creative direction, production, approvals, finishing, and licensing into one managed workflow.
Real models. Human creative direction. AI when it earns its place.
The philosophy
The production method follows the idea.
Spencer Models is a modeling agency first. We represent real people for traditional shoots, runway, editorial, commercial, print, promotional work, events, and other assignments that need the model physically involved.
We also produce finished brand campaigns in-house. When the brief, the product, and the participating model make AI-assisted production appropriate, our creative team can use it as part of the workflow.
Brands do not operate our tools or receive access to our internal production systems. They commission talent and finished creative work.
“We don’t use technology or AI to replace creative people. We use it to give creative people the ability to do more.”
Brian Spencer

Four production paths
The brief tells us what to build.
There is no single Spencer Models production formula. A brand may need talent only, finished creative, an extension of existing work, or a combination.
Book the model.
The model participates in a physical shoot, runway presentation, event, commercial, fitting, content production, or other live assignment.
If your team already has the photographer, creative direction, and production covered, you can simply book the talent.
License what already exists.
When approved Spencer Models content already fits the campaign, a brand can license that work without commissioning another production.
Usage is defined by the applicable channels, territory, term, reach, exclusivity, and other agreed rights.
Commission new campaign assets.
For participating models, approved source material and an authorized likeness can support new campaign imagery or motion without requiring another physical shoot for every asset.
Spencer Models handles the production in-house. The client receives finished creative, not access to the software or internal workflow.
Shoot what needs to be real. Extend what does not.
A campaign can begin with physical photography or video, then continue through separately approved digital production.
This can preserve real product interaction, performance, or hero imagery while giving the campaign more environments, formats, and variations.
From brief to delivery
Six steps. One managed workflow.
Bring us the brief
Tell us about the product, audience, objective, creative direction, deliverables, launch date, budget, and where the work will run.
Choose the talent
We identify real represented models who fit the brief, then confirm availability, production eligibility, and the relevant opportunity details.
Choose the production path
We determine whether the work calls for a live shoot, existing content, AI-assisted production, or a hybrid approach.
Build the creative foundation
Depending on the brief, this can include creative direction, photography, video, makeup, styling, product references, source material, and other production inputs.
Produce and finish
Our team develops the campaign through the appropriate combination of capture, AI-assisted production, compositing, retouching, motion, editing, and finishing.
Review, license, and deliver
The work moves through the applicable talent and brand review process. Final assets are delivered with clearly defined usage rights and campaign terms.
Where AI fits
AI is part of the toolkit. It is not the business.
Spencer Models does not sell image-generation software. Brands do not log into a platform and create whatever they want with our talent.
When AI-assisted production makes sense, our team uses a proprietary in-house production workflow within the agreed creative, talent, and licensing boundaries.
- Create approved campaign environments that were not physically photographed
- Extend an existing visual direction into additional assets
- Produce approved variations for different placements and formats
- Support some remote campaign production
- Reduce certain travel, location, and repeat-shoot requirements
- Give smaller brands access to more ambitious creative possibilities
- Replace the real model behind an authorized likeness
- Replace the need for creative judgment or finishing
- Turn one approval into permission for every future use
- Guarantee that a generated product detail is accurate
- Prove that a model physically used or endorsed a product
- Make a physical production unnecessary when the brief depends on reality
Knowing when not to generate
Sometimes the right answer is a real shoot.
AI-assisted production is not automatically the best production method just because it is available.
When the campaign depends on physical performance, actual fit, product interaction, authentic personal experience, or a specific real-world event, we build the production around those requirements.
- Runway, showroom, and live events
- Authentic interviews and testimonials
- Fit-dependent clothing campaigns
- Real product demonstrations
- Complex physical interaction
- Location-specific storytelling
- Movement or performance that needs to be captured directly
The goal is not to use the most AI. The goal is to choose the production method that makes the work better.
Remote does not mean imaginary
A beautiful image still has to represent the product.
Remote production can reduce the need for everyone to be in the same place. It does not lower the standard for accuracy.
If we are producing imagery for clothing, jewelry, accessories, or another physical product, the references have to support what the campaign is showing.
When they do not, we may need better product photography, additional source material, a physical sample, or a real shoot.
- Likeness consistency
- Anatomy and physical plausibility
- Garment construction and coverage
- Logos, seams, patterns, and product details
- Jewelry scale, stone count, settings, and finish
- Whether the final image implies something that did not happen
The humans in the process
Digital production does not make the people disappear.
Traditional representation stands on its own. A Spencer Models model does not have to participate in AI-assisted work to pursue conventional bookings through the agency.
For models who choose to participate, the applicable AI-assisted opportunity is separately authorized according to the governing agreements. Campaign scope, usage, compensation, and relevant restrictions are established before the approved use moves forward.
Our production model still depends on human judgment. Depending on the project, that can include photographers, filmmakers, makeup artists, creative directors, image artists, compositors, motion editors, and other specialists.
Not every campaign needs every discipline. The objective is not maximum automation. It is the right team and the right tools for the work.

Straight answers
Common questions about the process.
Are Spencer Models’ models real people?
Yes. Spencer Models represents real human talent. Models can be booked for traditional work. Participating models may also separately authorize AI-assisted campaign use of their likeness.
Does every Spencer Models campaign use AI?
No. Some projects are entirely traditional. Some are AI-assisted. Some combine physical and digital production. We choose the approach around the brief.
Does every model have to participate in AI-assisted work?
No. AI participation is optional and separate from traditional representation.
Do brands use Spencer Models’ AI software themselves?
No. Spencer Models does not sell a self-service image generator. Brands commission talent and creative work. Our production methods remain in-house.
Can a campaign be produced remotely?
Some can. The answer depends on the brief, available source material, product references, model authorization, and whether the finished work can represent the product accurately.
Can I still book a model for a conventional shoot?
Yes. Traditional model bookings remain a core Spencer Models service and do not require AI-assisted production.
